Nobody told me that when my baby was born, a former version of myself would no longer exist. The joy of new life came with unanticipated confusion about a lost identity. Motherhood is teaching me much more about myself than I may ever be able to teach my children. I’ve also learned the importance of self care and striving to model for my kids the best version of me.
